FAQ's

Frequently Asked Questions

Thank you for taking the time to explore my work. Purchasing original art is personal, and I want you to feel informed and cared for throughout the process. Below are answers to common questions about shipping, commissions, payment options, care instructions, and more.

How long does shipping take?

Please allow 2–4 weeks for your painting to be prepared, packaged, and shipped.

Because original artwork needs to be handled with care, I do not rush the packaging process. Larger paintings may require additional time to safely prepare for delivery.

Once your piece has shipped, you will receive tracking information when available.

How are paintings packaged?

Each original painting is carefully packaged to help protect it during delivery.

Depending on the size and materials of the piece, packaging may include protective wrapping, corner protection, padding, and a sturdy shipping box. Select larger or higher-value works may require professional packaging or additional shipping protection.

My goal is simple: your artwork should arrive safely and beautifully.

Do you offer local pickup?

Yes, local pickup may be available upon request.

If you are local or able to pick up your artwork in person, please contact me before or shortly after purchasing so we can discuss pickup options.

Local pickup is a great option for larger paintings, especially if you want to avoid shipping costs or shipping delays.

What is your return and refund policy?

All original artwork sales are considered final.

Because each painting is one-of-a-kind, I do not accept returns or exchanges for change of mind, incorrect size selection, or natural variations in color, texture, or appearance.

That said, if your artwork arrives damaged or defective, please contact me within 3 days of delivery with clear photos of the artwork and packaging. I’ll review the issue and work with you toward a fair resolution.

What if the colors look slightly different in person?

Small color differences can happen because screens display color differently.

I do my best to photograph each piece accurately, but original artwork may look slightly different in person depending on lighting, screen settings, and the texture of the materials used.

These natural variations are part of owning handmade, original artwork.

Do you accept commissions?

Yes, I accept select commissions when the project feels aligned with my style, schedule, and creative process.

Commissions are best for collectors who love my existing work but want a piece created with their story, space, colors, or emotional theme in mind.

I’m especially open to commissions connected to:

  • Symbolic portraiture

  • Identity and personal story

  • Faith and spiritual reflection

  • Dancer-inspired pieces

  • Nature-inspired symbolism

  • Emotional or conceptual themes

  • Custom pieces inspired by my existing collections

How does the commission process work?

The commission process usually begins with an inquiry.

After you reach out, we’ll discuss the general vision for the piece, including size, colors, subject matter, budget, timeline, and the emotional direction you want the artwork to carry.

Once the details are clear, I’ll confirm whether the project is a good fit. If we move forward, a deposit will be required to reserve your commission.

The basic process is:

  1. Submit a commission inquiry

  2. Share your vision, size, colors, and budget

  3. Confirm the concept and timeline

  4. Pay the required deposit

  5. I begin creating your piece

  6. Final payment is completed before delivery or pickup

Because each commission is custom, timelines may vary.

Can I request changes during a commission?

Yes, within reason.

I want the final piece to feel meaningful to you, but I also ask that collectors trust my artistic style and process. Small adjustments may be discussed during certain stages, but major changes after the work has begun may require an additional fee.

Commissioned artwork is a collaboration, but it is still created in my visual language as an artist.

Are deposits required for commissions?

Yes. A deposit is required before any commissioned work begins.

The deposit reserves your place on my schedule and allows me to begin planning and purchasing materials for your piece.

Deposits are generally non-refundable once work has begun.

Are payment plans available?

Yes, payment plans may be available for original artwork and select commissions.

If you love a piece but need to split the payment into smaller installments, please contact me before purchasing. We can discuss what may be possible based on the price of the artwork and your desired timeline.

Artwork must be paid in full before it is shipped, delivered, or picked up.

How do I care for an original painting?

Original artwork should be handled with care so it can last for years.

To protect your painting:

  • Keep it away from direct sunlight for long periods of time

  • Avoid placing it in very humid areas, like bathrooms

  • Do not use water, cleaners, or chemicals on the surface

  • Dust gently with a soft, dry cloth when needed

  • Handle the painting by the sides or frame, not the painted surface

  • Avoid leaning objects directly against the artwork

If your piece includes textured or mixed-media elements, be extra gentle around raised areas.

Are the paintings ready to hang?

Some paintings may be ready to hang, while others may need framing or hanging hardware.

Please check the individual product description for details. If you are unsure about a specific piece, feel free to contact me before purchasing.

Do you sell prints?

Print availability may vary by artwork.

Some pieces may be available as prints in the future, while others may remain original-only. If you are interested in a print of a specific painting, please reach out and ask.
