Title: Planted

For the ones still standing.

Still growing.

Still becoming.

Planted is finally finished.

This painting has been with me for years, and now that it’s complete, I can see why it needed time.

It speaks to being rooted when life gets loud.

When the waters rise.

When everything around you feels like it’s trying to shift your place, your peace, or your sense of self.

There’s also a feeling of harvest in this piece. The kind that comes after hidden growth. The kind that reminds you something can be forming underneath the surface long before anyone else sees it. And the cherry blossoms were added with intention. They’re so beautiful, but they don’t last long. That felt important to include because some beautiful things are fleeting, and that doesn’t make them less valuable. Sometimes it makes them more sacred.

What keeps you rooted when life tries to displace you?

🌱Jeremiah 17:7-8
